06:00 PM - 09:00 PM
Established in 1938, the Louis L. Valentine Club sits in the heart of Chicago’s Bridgeport community. The Club provides hope, stability, and opportunity for youth in five core areas of development: The Arts, Health and Life Skills, Education and Career, Sports/Fitness/Recreation, and Character and Leadership.
This year, we proudly celebrate 75 years of serving youth within the Club and within our community.

We are pleased to honor the Daley Family at our historic 75th Anniversary Celebration, in appreciation of their lifetime commitment to our Club.
Former Mayor Richard J. Daley (in office 1955-1976) was raised in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood. As his star rose on the political stage, he kept his roots firmly based in the community. Along with his wife, Eleanor "Sis" Daley, they raised six children in Bridgeport. The four Daley boys – Richard, John, Michael and William – all attended their local Boys Club, the Louis L. Valentine Boys Club (which later welcomed girls). For nearly 60 years, the Daley family has remained committed to the Bridgeport community, as well as the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.
